Worship Night - Joy in Christ

"Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:4-7

The people of God have every reason to be joyful. In Christ, we have been saved from eternal condemnation and have instead been given all the blessings of sons and daughters. Our God is transforming the hearts of his people, working all things together for the good of those who love him. The obedience and trust we are learning through our present sufferings is a hopeful eternal testament to our Lord’s coming restoration of all things.

On May 21 at 7 PM, we will be gathering at the Tower Grove campus for a time of extended worship, focusing on our joy in Christ. Through scripture and song, we will praise and exalt a holy God who is also near. We will confess our weakness and anxiousness to Him, admitting that we often seek eternal joy in idols that will not last. We will present our requests for forgiveness and faithfulness to God. And we will ask him to fill us with the peace that will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus as we strive to missionally proclaim the gospel of His saving death and resurrection. Join us as we partake in the great privilege of worshipping our Lord. Indeed, the people of God have every reason to be joyful.

Limited childcare is available. You can sign up here or at the Connection Point table at Tower Grove services.
