Dear friends of The Journey,
God has been very gracious to us as individuals and as a church. He is a generous God and in response to that we wanted to thank you for responding to that generosity by doing the same with what you have been given. The financial sacrifices that you each make are allowing us to see Jesus continue to do what he wants to do in our families, cities and world.
With that in mind we would like to encourage you to consider using a new technology for giving to The Journey. We have developed a new option that will allow for members and attendees to set up a one time or recurring gifts that allow for donations to be deducted via credit card or direct debit from your bank account. This process increases convenience, security, and tracking for you and further automates our back-end accounting process. It is preferable that the form of payment used is an e-check (ACH debit) because it will save The Journey in processing fees. However, if you are not able to do this, we have had a generous donor step in and pledge to cover all of our processing fees so that the full amount of our donations will go to furthering our mission.
The Scriptures teach us that our giving is to be cheerful, regular, sacrificial and proportionate. Online giving can help us walk more fully and consistently into this. An additional benefit is that it helps church leadership plan and budget more effectively as the regular automated online giving smooths out the historic spikes and drops that have made some of our financial planning more difficult.
We have recently added a link to our new giving tool on The Journey home page. Please use this link to set up your one time or recurring donation today. Below is a short demonstration video that we have provided as a resource to you.
If you have any questions regarding setting up your online gifts, please feel free to contact me.
