The Journey - St. Louis

College Ministry

Here at The Journey, we believe that the university is a vital component of life. Through the Hanley Road Campus, we desire college students to learn what the Bible teaches and put it into practice within our everyday lives. Both correct teaching and living are important. This means that the Gospel must not only be grasped, but also embodied as we interact with others, study on campus, and pursue our passions.

At The Journey Hanley Road, we desire our college students to interact with other attendees from our services. True living is not just being placed with people who dress the same, act the same, talk the same, and are roughly the same age. The New Testament confronts this kind of affinity and challenges one to pursue community, to find others who can mentor, and to spend time with those you normally wouldn’t. In essence, we desire for our university students to be an active part of our congregation talking, praying, serving, and leading those younger and older than them.

Details?

If you are a Washington University undergraduate, carpools are set up for our 11:15 a.m. service which leave around 10:45 from the “clocktower”. If you are a college student at another local university, we welcome you to come to our 11:15 a.m. or 5:30 p.m. worship service. We challenge you to get to know someone who you haven’t met before, to fight through the initial “awkward” conversation, and to begin the steps to be on a mission greater than oneself.
