At The Journey, we believe God has called all of us into ministry: in our homes, in our church, and in our communities. In I Peter 2:9, Peter tells the church: “you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” What he’s saying is that God calls us all to take part in the advancement of His kingdom, not just pastors and teachers.

Journey Kids: Metro East (JKME) would love to have you serve alongside us as we teach the children in our community what it means to love God, love others, and transform the world. There are a number of needs at JKME, ranging from teaching classes to helping set up and clean up. JKME takes the safety of our children seriously. The ME Worship Ministry Team at The Journey is made up of talented musicians that play in regular rotation at Sunday services. We believe that God created music as a powerful expression of our worship of him, and we strive to structure the musical parts of our service so that he, not the music, is central.
