Questions

  • What is your favorite bible verse?
Ephesians 4. Equipping the church to be the church!!!
  • How long have you been at The Journey?
    Since launch.
  • What ministry are you involved in?
I was the Worship Pastor for two years and have just transitioned to the Exec team where I focus on leadership development.
  • What is hard and/or good about serving at The Journey?
Everything is hard and everything is good. Church planting has been the hardest and most rewarding experience of my life. Being able to work alongside Darrin and my other brothers in arms has taught me more in the last 7 years than I learned in all the other 23. I'm forever grateful.

Favorites

  • Films: No Country for Old Men, Godfather 1 & 2, Pulp Fiction. Wow, that's a really violent list, isn't it? I really love The Office, too.

So, Tell Me...

  • What is your vision for Journey: To keep asking what God's plan for our church is.
  • Who is the Biblical figure you relate to most: Jonah. I get angry and run a lot. Sometimes my friends need to throw me off the boat for things to settle down. In the end, I have to repent and write about it.
  • How did you meet your spouse: I met Miranda in the Red Lounge at the Hanley Road Campus the first time she attended my community group. So yes, single people, we are living proof that if you get in a community group, you will get married.
