THEOLOGY AT THE BOTTLEWORKS: Discuss important issues of our day with people both inside and outside of Christianity. This month’s topic is “God or No God?. Believers and nonbelievers in deity are getting more strident on the oldest and hardest question there is. Who’s right or wrong, on what, and does it matter? What’s at stake in the God Wars? Join us Wednesday, 2/17 at 7 pm at Schlafly Bottleworks. For more info, visit www.midrashstl.com.
At The Journey, we take membership seriously. We are often asked why we have a membership class and why it runs for so long, and our answer is simple: we want people to know what they’re getting into. For us, membership isn’t about names on a roster or numbers to compare with other churches. Membership at The Journey is about Loving God, Connecting People and Transforming the World. We’re not looking for members who just call The Journey their home (although we’re happy when they do); we’re looking for members who are ready to be on mission with us, to lead and serve both inside the church and out.
We don’t want people to think of The Gospel class as merely the gateway to membership at The Journey, although it is that.

Healing Communities at Karis House are starting up again. A Healing Community is a place where it is acceptable to be broken, have problems, admit failure, and where help is expressed in concrete, practical ways. The mission of these groups is to help hurting people heal through Gospel-centered community.
On Friday, February 12 at 7 PM, The Journey’s four campuses will be uniting for an all-church evening of corporate worship. We will meet together at the Tower Grove Campus for an extended time of shared prayer, thanksgiving, confession, and song.
“Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him… Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working” – James 5:13-14, 16.
As believers, we are called to worship Jesus Christ together amidst a wide spectrum of life-circumstances.
