I was talking to some girls the other night about the weirdness of friendships as an adult. Before "growing up" it was easy to make and maintain friendships because we had a place (school) where we were able to make friends naturally.

At The Journey we believe that all people need to be known, to be understood, and to have meaning and purpose. Each week, people gather in groups all around the city to address these needs and more. Community Groups will start the week of September 19. You will be able to join a group starting on September 4-19. If you would like more information, please email infoTG@journeyon.net.
1 Corinthians 12:13 - "For in one Spirit we were baptized into one body..."
Baptism is an outward sign of the new inward reality for people that have come to know Jesus and believe the good news that his life, death and resurrection brings us into relationship with God. At The Journey, we believe that it is the clear teaching of scripture that we are commanded to come to be baptized when we have believed in the gospel. We also believe that baptism is a celebration of God's goodness in the life of new believers, so our baptism is going to be celebrated during our services!

Have you been baptized? We will be holding a baptism during both our services on Saturday, August 28 and Sunday, August, 29. For more info regarding baptism or to sign up to be baptized, please visit The City, Tower Grove Campus Group, topic "Baptism - Do you want to be baptized?" Registration ends Monday. August 16.

Mission: St. Louis is collecting school supplies to help ensure that students at Adam's Elementary start the year with the materials they need to be successful! Can you help them start the year off right? Bins will be located in the lobby on August 14 and 15 and August 20 and 21. A list of supplies is available online at www.missionstl.org and at Connection Point.
In last weekend's message on 1&2 Timothy and Titus, Pastor Darrin mentioned the contemporary reality of the Clergy-Laity divide and the implications of breaking through that barrier and releasing the Church to be on mission.
We have a strategic opportunity to continue that conversation with a leading author and renowned innovator in missional thinking on Tuesday, August 17 from Noon to 1 PM.
