Admit it. Some of you hate reading the Bible. Just opening it makes you sleepy. You think it’s hard to understand. You get lost in the Old Testament. It gives you a headache. Many Christians, regardless of educational background, avoid reading the Bible. Trying to understand, interpret, and apply this ancient text is a daunting task to many who open its pages. Yet it is an essential endeavor for a follower of Jesus.

The Journey invites you to join us as we engage with God by taking the Bible head-on, gleaning valuable insights from every book as we read through it in one year.

More than Just a Fish

 

It’s not just about a fish. 

It’s a story of rebellion, of defiance and rejection, and a story about a God who pursues us in surprising and unusual ways.  It is a story about the city, and about how God wants his people to join with him in his mission to redeem the world.  It is a story about us, and how we can participate with God in his work in the world.
